Damage Location
Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) is invaluable in its ability to locate damage to structures.
It is also able to detect subsidence caused by leaking water mains and other pipelines, and is indeed often able to pinpoint the location of leaking pipes where water or other fluid has washed away areas of ground beneath the road surface, leaving a void which is clearly visible to GPR. The collapsed road on the left was caused by a leaking water main! GPR could have shown the location of this damage long before it reached this stage.
