Archaeological Geophysics
 |
When considering or commencing the excavation of a site, time and cost are huge considerations. For that reason a geophysical survey is often the most effective way of rapidly assessing the potential implications of concealed archaeological remains.
Here at Sub Ground Imaging we are pleased to offer a range of services to help your project progress smoothly. These include earth resistivity, fluxgate gradiometer and ground penetrating radar surveys.
We have our own archaeological consultant, whose experience in the analysis of geophysical data ranges from Victorian military barracks to prehistoric wonders such as Stonehenge. We will be happy to produce site reports to help you present your data, and to provide such other archaeological advice as might be required for your project. For instance, we are able to offer assistance with your desk-based assessments or help with the decision-making process relating to the targeting of your excavations. For more details about our consultant please visit the 'consultancy' page.
We work mainly in Southern England, Dorset, Hampshire, Wiltshire, Devon and Cornwall, but will also be happy to quote for contracts elsewhere including Overseas.
