Planning Policy Guidance 16 - Archaeology and PlanningPPG 16 sets out the responsibility of developers to ensure that reasonable care has been taken to ensure that no archaeological remains will be damaged by a development. It is expected that this will be done prior to any planning application being made, and that a suitable report will be included in the planning application. Our range of survey equipment allows us to undertake a comprehensive survey to detect the possible presence of such remains. We are able to conduct such surveys at a reasonable cost, and provide visible evidence in report format, of what may (or may not) lie beneath the surface of a proposed development site.
